The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the academic year 2009-10 with an intake of 60. At present department offers Undergraduate and Post graduate programs. The Department of Mechanical Engineering provides high quality education along with discipline.

The department consists of young and energetic team of dedicated faculty members who possess Doctrate, post graduate qualification in their respective fields of specialization & some of the faculty Members are Pursuing Ph.D.

The Faculty members of the Department have presented and published many research papers at the National, International Journals & Conferences. The graduating students are well placed in industry as well as in academia mainly through the campus placements and also by direct recruitments.

A Post Graduation Course in the specialization of Machine Design started subsequently in the Academic Year 2013-14 with an intake 18.

Mechanical engineers have an important role to play in practically every industry; be it automotive, aerospace, and chemical, electronics or software. Be it sports, medical or any product development; mechanical engineers contribute to it substantially.

During the course of the study, the students are imparted theoretical and practical knowledge in the various aspects of Mechanical Engineering . In addition they are also exposed to industrial environment through industrial visits and industrial trainings/internship.

It is heartening to note the all the students passing out of our department are successfully place in various nearby industries as well as pursuing higher technical studies bringing a good name to the institution in the region.
