Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering

Welcome to the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Akshaya Institute of Technology, Tumakuru, Karnataka, India. The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) was established in the year 2009, affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).   The Department offers full-time UG programme in Electronics & Communication Engineering and has a research center recognized by VTU, Belagavi.

The Department has qualified and experienced faculty members with expertise in VLSI and embedded systems, digital communication, signal processing, computer networks, nanoelectronics, etc. The ongoing research activities include digital image processing and computer vision, biomedical signal processing, communication, and networking. The department facilitates well-equipped laboratories strengthened by software’s like Matlab, Cadence, Lab view, Keil, etc. The department facilitates industry institute interaction with the industries like Enthutech solutions Pvt. Ltd. through collaborations for the industrial visit, internship, workshops and job opportunities.

Electronics  & Communication Engineering (ECE) department was established in the year 2009. Since its inception, the department has seen an exponential growth in terms of results and placements. The department offers both UG programme in Electronics  & Communication Engineering with an intake of 60. Highly qualified, experienced and committed faculty members supported by the technical staff constantly train the students to achieve high academic standards. The Department has state-of-the-art infrastructure and computing facilities supported by high speed internet. The department has taken initiative in generating the “Online Feedback using open source software” and generating E-Progress report. Technical programs like seminars, workshops and conferences are regularly organized in the department in which both the faculty and students actively participate.  We are having hard-working students, a young and dynamic faculty, whose expertise spans the range of disciplines in Electronics  & Communication Engineering stream and a very healthy work-culture.
