Akshaya polytechnic started in 2012 under the auspices of the Akshaya Education Trust, Akshaya Polytechnic is situated in Tumkur. Its chairman is Dr. Shivakumar K S, a distinguished pediatrician who is famous for his simplicity, vision, and entrepreneurial spirit.
Akshaya polytechnic is recognized by the AICTE, New Delhi and is affiliated to Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Karnataka, Bangalore
Our Institute is best and prominent among the colleges in Karnataka, it provides technical education in a number of diploma fields. A visionary administration, a dedicated and talented faculty, and first-rate facilities are all features of Akshaya Polytechnic, it  is dedicated to the cause of technical education and emphasizes character development and man-making exercises by instilling ethical, moral, and spiritual values in the students. As an Institution, Akshaya Polytechnic provides a vibrant teaching-learning environment with educational materials to support the development of the whole person.
The Institute provides Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Civil Engineering. Its exceptional teaching-learning practices have led to a high pass rate and high scores from students in the board exams. Numerous students have been placed on campus in reputable firms as a consequence of consistent and high-quality placement training. Some of the students hope to graduate and secure scholarships to reputable universities. The institute’s alumni’s are dispersed throughout the world, and some of them have executive positions in large corporations. Every year, an alumni meet is arranged.

The Civil Engineering Department was framed in the year 2012 with an intake of 60 students. Civil Engineering is a broad field of engineering dealing with the planning, construction and maintenance of fixed structures or public works.
A three-year diploma program that prepares students for careers in the construction industry. It covers subjects related to planning, designing, executing, and maintaining infrastructure like buildings, roads, and bridges. We provide high standard of engineering knowledge and supervisory & administrative skills.
The department is striving to support the technical needs of the students in the field of Civil Engineering by providing an effective teaching-learning environment designed to enhance professional competence and personal skills.
The Department of Computer Science at Akshaya Polytechnic was established in 2023, with a vision to provide quality technical education and hands-on training in the core Engineering field. The Department currently has an annual intake of 60 students, offering Diploma Program that blends strong theoretical knowledge with industry-relevant skills

The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was started in the year 2012 with a sanctioned intake of 60 students. A Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering is a three-year professional undergraduate program that provides a foundation in electronics and communication technologies. It covers topics like digital systems, microprocessors, electronic circuits, digital and analog communication.
The program involves imparting both theoretical and practical knowledge, developing problem-solving skills, and fostering a passion for innovation.Â
We offer well-equipped laboratories including ECD lab, FEEE lab, LDV lab, Communication system lab, Embedded C lab, IA lab. The program aims to equip students with the skills to work in various industries, including telecommunications, consumer electronics, IT, and automation.
