About COE

An interactive experience called augmented reality enhances the physical world by using computer data about perception. Utilizing hardware, software, and apps like AR-OS necessitates the presence of real items in an expanded reality and digital material in the surroundings.

A computer-generated environment that mimics real-world landscapes and objects is called virtual reality (VR), and it gives users the impression that they are actually there. A gadget called a virtual reality headset or helmet is used to view this environment

Augmented Reality (AR): Improvise the real world: AR overlays digital information onto a user’s perception of the real world, making the real time more interactive and informative.

Virtual Reality (VR): Generates a completely simulated environment: VR uses headsets and other technology to transport users to a fully digital, 3D Environment

Scope
  • Gaming and Entertainment:VR/AR allows for interactive and immersive gaming experiences, as well as new types of entertainment like virtual concerts.
  • Healthcare:VR can be used for training surgeons, creating therapy environments for patients with anxiety or PTSD, and even for virtual surgeries.
  • Manufacturing and Engineering:AR can be used for training, simulations, and remote assistance, improving productivity and safety.
  • Architecture:VR allows architects to create detailed, interactive models of buildings and spaces, enabling clients to explore designs before they are built.
  • Social Platforms:VR is used for creating social experiences, allowing users to interact in virtual worlds.
  • Metaverse:AR/VR is crucial for building immersive virtual worlds and economies, driving demand for skilled professionals in this field.
Outcomes
  • Hands-on Training: Use of licensed Unity Engine tools for Game Design and VS Code/ Visual studio as Code editor
  • Project Development:• Developing academic projects in Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) can significantly enhance learning and engagement, to implement new Project Ideas, ready to face real time challenges, hands on work to different tools and platforms.
  • Industry Relationship:Internships provide better relation with industry and can be in touch with ongoing industry trends in AR VR Domain.
  • Employment and Startups:Enhanced placement opportunities and support for students to join or launch semiconductor startups.
  • Academic Excellence:Contribution to NBA/NAAC accreditation, higher research output, and improved academic-industry linkages
